Shoegasm Heaven: Sneak peek inside Vogue shoe closet
The preview from upcoming footwear documentary God Save My Shoes started floating around the Internet yesterday, and we couldn’t help but post it. How often, outside of an episode of Sex and the City here and there, do you get to see the inside of the Vogue shoe closet? Never, that’s how often. This clip is a quick run-through, but the documentary itself promises interviews with a slew of world-famous shoe designers and tons of eye (foot?) candy. I cannot wait until it comes out.

French shoe designer Christian Louboutin has created a pair of pointe shoes on 20 cm high heels with the iconic red sole. The following week, these shoes will be sold at auction in support of the English National Ballet which is in dire financial straits. As well, lots of costumes will be on display, designed for dancers with brands like Erdem, Moschino, and Giles.
Louboutin: ‘I could not help being inspired by English National Ballet… after all… isn’t the classical dancing ballet slipper the ultimate heel?…’
